The Library’s fundamental mission is to preserve, enhance and transmit its bibliographic, documentary and cultural heritage. As a guardian of memory and a place of study open to dialogue with the present, the Library is committed to ensuring access to knowledge, promoting scientific research and supporting the cultural growth of the community. All activities are geared towards protecting historical collections and disseminating knowledge, striking a balance between tradition and innovation.<\/p>\n

The Library’s collection grows and enriches itself both through the targeted purchase of works consistent with existing collections and thanks to generous donations from private individuals, scholars and institutions. Each acquisition is carefully evaluated, taking into account the historical, cultural and documentary value of the materials. Donations, if consistent with the Library’s aims, are catalogued and made available to the public according to criteria of transparency and enhancement.<\/p>\n

Preserving heritage is one of the Library’s fundamental missions. Through protection and restoration work carried out by professionals in the field, the preservation of ancient volumes, manuscripts and rare documents is guaranteed. Each intervention is preceded by a diagnostic assessment and documented with technical data sheets and photographs, in accordance with good archival and library practices. Particular attention is also paid to preventive conservation, through the monitoring of environmental conditions and periodic maintenance of the collections.<\/p>\n

Each loan is accompanied by rigorous study, documentation and conservation activities to protect the integrity of the materials on display.<\/p>\n
