As a guardian of memory and a place of study open to dialogue with the present, the Library is committed to ensuring access to knowledge, promoting scientific research and supporting the cultural growth of the community. All activities are geared towards protecting historical collections and disseminating knowledge, striking a balance between tradition and innovation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_1 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><h3>Purchases and donations<\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The Library's collection grows and enriches itself both through the targeted purchase of works consistent with existing collections and thanks to generous donations from private individuals, scholars and institutions. Each acquisition is carefully evaluated, taking into account the historical, cultural and documentary value of the materials. Donations, if consistent with the Library's aims, are catalogued and made available to the public according to criteria of transparency and enhancement.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_2 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><h3>Protection and restoration<\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Preserving heritage is one of the Library's fundamental missions. Through protection and restoration work carried out by professionals in the field, the preservation of ancient volumes, manuscripts and rare documents is guaranteed. Each intervention is preceded by a diagnostic assessment and documented with technical data sheets and photographs, in accordance with good archival and library practices. Particular attention is also paid to preventive conservation, through the monitoring of environmental conditions and periodic maintenance of the collections.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_3 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><h3>Publications<\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The Library promotes awareness of its collections and research activities through the publication of catalogues, inventories, essays and conference proceedings. These publications, often produced in collaboration with academic and cultural institutions, help to spread awareness of the value of the heritage preserved and to foster dialogue with the scientific community and the wider public. Some editions are also available in digital format to promote greater accessibility.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_4 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><h3>External exhibitions<\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The Library regularly participates in exhibitions and events organised by museums, archives and cultural institutions, lending selected works from its collection. These collaborations represent an opportunity to showcase the most valuable and lesser-known items in the collection, offering the public opportunities for discovery and in-depth study.
