The new exhibition at the Angelica Library showcases some of the most beautiful books that celebrate the importance of plants. A journey through works that highlight the importance of the study of botany from the 16th to the 18th centuries.
The Angelica Library is opening a new bibliographic exhibition dedicated to the beauty of plants. The ancient herbariums on display, created by the most renowned physicians and botanists of the past, open up to reveal their splendid illustrations. From Mattioli’s famous *Dioscoride* to Robert Morison’s *Plantarum historiae universalis*: a journey spanning roughly two centuries through the history of botany to contemplate the beauty of nature on paper.
The exhibition will be open during the library’s regular hours (Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.).
