How can I visit the Salone Vanvitelliano?
It is possible to enter the Vanvitellian Hall during the opening hours of the Library, remaining close to the entrance door and without disturbing the readers.
Can I bring my own books?
Is a reservation necessary to access the library and use its services?
No reservation is required to access library services.

How can I consult the catalogues?
At the headquarters, through the available paper catalogues, and online, through the ‘Catalogues’ section of the website, where it is possible to view a list of all the cataloguing tools available at the headquarters and those that can be consulted online, divided by Ancient Collection, Manuscript Collection and Modern Collection.
How can I consult manuscript and rare works?
No reservation is required to consult and study manuscripts, but you must be at least 18 years old.

How can I apply for a licence to use the library spaces?
It is possible to request the use of the monumental hall or other areas of the library for artistic and cultural events, or for film or television shoots, subject to agreements regulated by a specific convention, authorization from the Director of the Institute, and payment of the relevant concession fee.
