Reading of Canto XXVI of *Inferno*—Special Opening

In the Footsteps of Odysseus and St. Francis. A special event dedicated to travel and to two travelers who left their mark on history.

A new event at the Angelica Library: On Sunday, October 11, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the Vanvitelliano Hall will host an intimate reading of Canto XXVI of Dante’s *Inferno*, performed by poet Andrea Mariotti and accompanied by commentary from Dante scholar Annamaria Vanalesti. In the wake of the success of “Odyssey” on the big screen and in commemoration of the eighth centenary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi, the library will display for visitors a selection of books and maps inspired by the theme of travel and, in particular, the Franciscan Way.
Admission is free, and no reservation is required.
