Villas and gardens of Rome: a crown of delights
From November 21, 2025, the Museum of Rome at Palazzo Braschi will open the exhibition Villas and Gardens of Rome: A Crown of Delights, a journey through five centuries of history and imagination that recounts the evolution of Rome's historic gardens, from Renaissance architecture to the transformations of the 20th century. The richness of the nearly 190 works on display, many of which are little known or unpublished, offers the public the opportunity to get closer to places that have often disappeared or changed profoundly, revealing their original appearance and social function. The itinerary, divided into six sections and enriched with multimedia and immersive features, allows visitors to understand how the city's villas and gardens have been spaces of representation, creativity, leisure, and gathering over time. A text from our bibliographic heritage is also on display!
