Purchases and gifts
In 2023, the Angelica Library increased its library holdings by 574 volumes, of which 463 were purchased and 111 were donated. There are 104 magazine subscriptions and 23 periodicals received as gifts.
The topics covered are:
– life and works of Saint Augustine
– Reformation and Counter-Reformation
– Humanism and the Renaissance
– Italian literature from the 14th to the 20th century
– Bibliography and Library Science
PURCHASES
The criteria for selecting the library material to be purchased respect the nature and purpose of the Institute and the relevance of its holdings, also considering the holdings of other libraries in the area and the financial resources available.
GIFTS
The Angelica Library, also for reasons of space, only accepts individual volumes, collections and book collections as gifts if they are consistent with the nature and purpose of the Institute.
If you would like to donate volumes, please make a list and contact the Purchasing and Gift Office.
Gifts brought or sent to the library without prior authorisation will not be considered.

– books on philosophy and church fathers
DESIRED
The Library encourages and accepts purchase requests from its users.
Requests can be sent by e-mail or made at the reading room, where the wish register is available.
For each purchase request, the following must be indicated: title, author and publisher, briefly noting the reason for the proposed purchase.
